Information about the university
The University of Strathclyde was founded in 1796 and is the 3rd biggest university in Scotland with about 22000 students, of which 10% are international students. The University has 4 faculties (Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering, Science, and Strathclyde Business School).
The campus is located in the heart of the city.

Language requirements
English proficiency recommended  at minimum B2 level for English (read upper-intermediate = 4 in English from "vgs" for Norwegian students)

Students who do not meet the language requirements will be offered online language courses prior the exchange period.

2 per semester divided between master and bachelor level.

How to find subjects

Exchange students will normally select classes/courses from levels 1 to 3: Level 1 classes are usually at an introductory level and may not require much previous knowledge or study in the subject. 
Level 2 and 3 classes will normally require some previous study in the subject. 
Level 4 classes are not usually available to exchange students unless they have significant background in the subject and meet the prerequisites for the class.

ECTS credits abroad
60 Strathclyde credits = 30 ECTS credits = 30 Norwegian study points (Studiepoeng)

Accommodation
Unfortunately, Strathclyde University is not able to guarantee an accommodation to all students coming on exchange. You need to apply through the housing application portal. For more information about accommodation, please click here

Visa
Norwegian students do not need to apply for visa when travelling to Europe. Students who do not hold Norwegian citizenship must check themselves if they need to apply for Visa.
