Information about the university

The regional capital is the city of Potenza; the University of Basilicata has a total of 7300 students and is located both in Potenza and Matera. In Potenza, the University consists of two campuses: the Campus of "Francioso" and the Campus of "Macchia Romana". In Matera, the University sites are in Via San Rocco, Via A.M. di Francia and Via Lazazzera.

The university is composed of six leading structures: School of Engineering, School of Agricultural, Forestry Food and Environmental Sciences, Department of European and Mediterranean Cultures, Environment and Cultural Heritage, Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Economics, Department of Science, Department of Science, Postgraduate School in Archaeological Heritage

English and Italian

Language requirements
English and/or Italian proficiency recommended at minimum B2 level (read upper-intermediate = 4 in English from "vgs" for Norwegian students).

Students who do not meet the language requirements will be offered online language courses prior the exchange period.

2 per semester in Master in Geology

Tuition fee (Skolepenger)
Student doing exchange within Erasmus + are exempted from tuition fees.

Erasmus + in combination loan and grant from Lånekassen for eligible students.
