Business Administration - Master of Science

Exchange semester
Semester 3

As a student in MA Business Administration, you have the possibility to study abroad at one UiS partner institutions. This is a unique chance to get an international perspective on your studies. The subject area Business Administration is international in content and global issues are an important part of the courses. Abroad, you will experience different approaches to the subjects, and our international partners offer other combinations of courses than UiS. By going on exchange, you will experience different cultures and you will get the possibility to broaden your network. The international experience that you will gain through an exchange abroad will be very useful when you enter the labour market.

Organisation of the exchange
Students who are going on exchange abroad need to have regular progression in their study plan. The first 60 credits of the programme must be completed.

Choice of courses
The exchange semester has 30 ECTS elective courses, which means that you can choose freely which courses you would like to study abroad. A semester abroad is a good opportunity to take courses that UiS does not offer. A good tip is to think about your specialisation and your field of interest.
The courses you choose need to be at a corresponding level to where you are in your study program. It is also important that they do not overlap in content with the courses you have taken or will take later in the study program. In addition, there is a requirement to have a broad composition of courses in your study program. Please note that for the specialisation in Economic Analysis, there is a requirement to take 3 specialisation courses (30 ECTS). UiS Business School will help you to find the right type of courses.
It is important that you apply for pre-approval of the courses you will take abroad by 15 February. UiS Business School invites all students who have applied for an exchange to a workshop on selection and pre-approval of courses.
