Student and semester registration

You can find information on how to register for the semester at http://student.uis.no. You can register from the beginning of August, and it is important that you follow all the steps in the process. We recommend that you register for the semester BEFORE the semester start week so that you have access to e-mail, canvas, internet, schedule and other student systems.

If you were an active student at UiS in the spring semester 2020 and are starting on a new study programme, you must log on to StudentWeb, with the same username and password as before, and register for your new study programme in early August.

To keep the study right, all students must register every semester. The semester registration consists of payment of the semester fee and approval of part I and part II in StudentWeb.

If you experience problems with registration in StudentWeb and/or other student systems, you will be able to get help from the IT- department student assistant on campus Bjergsted. Contact it-hjelp@uis.no or phone 51 83 30 00.

New students must go to the main campus at Ullandhaug (Arne Rettedals Hus) for issuing student cards by September 1st.

Study Calendar for 2020/2021

The study calendar for the Autumn semester will be published under Nyttige lenker as soon as it is ready, no later than June 15. We reserve the right to make changes regarding planned concerts and projects. Therefore, always check information on Time Edit and Canvas.

In order to get access to the school buildings at campus Bjergsted you have to use a key and a chip. You will get the key and chip for a deposit of 500 NOK. The deposit must be paid with a Norwegian bank card at the administration. New students can receive the key and chip from week 34.
