Changes to the study programme

If changes occur in your study programme while you are on an exchange, you should contact the student adviser for your department immediately to apply for new pre-approval.

A new application for pre-approval and course descriptions for new courses can be sent by email. If you need help to find new courses, please check with the contact person at the host educational institution.

Reasons for changes to your study programme could include:

  • The course offered at the host educational institution is not ready before you travel
  • There are changes to the course offered following your arrival at the host educational institution
  • Unforeseen overlaps in the schedule

If you do not report new courses or practical programmes, you may encounter problems obtaining final approval of your exchange programme when you return. In the worst case scenario, you may risk having parts of your exchange programme abroad not approved as part of your degree programme at UiS.
