Transcript and diploma


Students who complete their studies on time will receive a diploma automatically. It will be sent to the home address that is registered in the studentweb. If you have been on student exchange, taken courses or studies at other institutions or have not completed your studies on time, you must order a diploma.

Diploma Supplement

All graduates of the University of Stavanger will upon graduation automatically and free of charge receive a diploma, a transcript of records and a diploma supplement. The diploma supplement will be issued in English and is only valid when present with the diploma itself. The intention of the diploma supplement is to give information about the study programme and degree and thus create greater transparency for international purposes.

You can download a transcript of records with a digital signature from Studentweb. Log in to StudentWeb with your 11-digit ID and PIN or your Feide-user. Go to “Orders” → “Transcript of records with digital signature”. Click on "Order". The transcript of records is ready to download from Documents approximately 10 minutes after you have placed your order.

The University of Stavanger will only print your Transcript of Academic Records on request. If you need a transcript on paper, you can contact the student reception in Arne Rettedals hus on campus or send an e-mail to

If  your home university requires that the transcript is sent directly to their Registrar Office etc, you can make the request to Please state you name, student number and address of the recipient.

If you have recently completed an exam, you should await ordering the transcript until your examination results have been announced (in StudentWeb).

When ordering a transcript of records in English, an explanatory text of the credit and grading system will be included.
